ElectricFish is excited to announce that it has recently secured compliance with System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II
SOC 2 Type II is the most comprehensive system and examination within the Systems and Organization Controls protocol. It evaluates a company’s internal information security controls and their operational effectiveness over a specified time period in order to ensure continued compliance and reliability.
Passing the audit means we conform to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) SOC 2 Type II standard, and serves as assurance that our customers’ data is being managed in a controlled and audited environment. With the help of our partner Secureframe and our third-party auditor at Zero Day CPA, we successfully achieved compliance and received an auditor’s report on controls relevant to the key audit criteria of Security, Confidentiality, and Availability. Some of the procedural and infrastructure reviews related to our controls included how we manage data security, firewall configurations, change management, logical access, backup and disaster recovery, security incident response, and other critical areas of our business.
We believe the relationship with our customers, whether OEMs or utilities, must be built on trust. The successful certification to SOC 2 Type II is one of many ways that we have planned to earn and retain that trust. We are committed to continually improving our information security program and retaining an annual SOC 2 audit to ensure we keep supporting our customers’ needs.
