Enabling hardware through software

Fremont, CA — ElectricFish, a startup in the electric vehicle (EV) charging and distributed energy resource (DER) sector, proudly announces a groundbreaking achievement that cements its leadership as a bidirectional EV service equipment (EVSE) manufacturer and operator.

Partnering with DER aggregator Leap Energy, and National Park Service, ElectricFish delivered on multiple Demand Response / emergency events over the summer and fall of 2023. The industry leader in wholesale grid services monetization settled revenues for the service events in December, officially validating ElectricFish as the first storage-integrated EV charging solution to successfully do so for delivering grid services on Leap’s platform.

Late last year, the climatetech company presented its cutting-edge 350-squared product, “Dory,” at the NACS Show in Atlanta. Dory promises high computational ingenuity and energy capacity, setting new benchmarks for electrical utility standards. Boasting enhanced power and versatility, Dory delivers up to 48 hours of backup energy while achieving best-in-class EV charging — 200 miles in just 10 minutes.

In the current EV charging landscape, two options prevail: Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC Fast charging). ElectricFish’s Dory, a 350 kW powerhouse, disrupts traditional charging speeds, ensuring a faster, more efficient experience for users. As the industry’s first bidirectional EVSE, ElectricFish is redefining standards, aligning with the U.S. Department of Energy’s push for innovative technologies to support the surge in electric vehicles.
The 2021 Texas power crisis underscored the fragility of America’s power grid. ElectricFish addresses this crisis head-on with a rapidly deployable microgrid integrated with extreme-fast vehicle chargers. Designed for all voltage ranges on the distribution grid, it eliminates the need for costly infrastructure upgrades. This revolutionary solution not only propels the electrification of transport but also fortifies grid resilience, ensuring a reliable energy future.
